Nature:
-acid ethyl ester is a white crystal with a special smell.
-It is soluble in a variety of organic solvents at room temperature, such as ethanol, ether, chloroform, etc.
-The melting point of this compound is about 121-123°C.
-It is more stable under acidic conditions, but will degrade under alkaline conditions.

Use:
-or acid ethyl ester is commonly used as an amine group protecting reagent in organic synthesis.
-It can be combined by acid or nucleophile to form a temporary protecting group, Protect the amine group from reacting with other reagents, and increase the selectivity of organic synthesis.

Method:
